Globus and Tauck are both excellent guided tour operators founded in 1928 and 1925 respectively. They serve similar travelers, go to many of the same destinations, and the difference between them is significant. I am certified in both. I book both every week. I have no financial reason to steer you toward either. This is my comparison.

FAQ: Globus vs. Tauck
What is the difference between Globus and Tauck?
Globus Tour Directors hand off to local guides at each destination; Tauck Directors are salaried employees present 24 hours a day for the full tour providing all context. Tauck includes Exclusive events (private castle dinners, private Vatican, private flamenco) not available on Globus. Tauck includes all gratuities and most meals; Globus includes all breakfasts and some meals. Tauck is 50 to 100% more expensive than Globus reflecting the more inclusive standard and exclusive access.
Is Tauck worth the extra cost over Globus?
For travelers who want the most curated and exclusive experience, yes. Tauck Exclusives are genuinely unavailable on Globus. The all-inclusive pricing and advisor airfare discount also narrow the apparent gap. For first-time Europe travelers focused on coverage and value, Globus delivers excellent experiences at an accessible price.
Does Globus or Tauck have better tour leadership?
Both are high-quality. Globus Tour Directors average over 20 years with the company and are destination-certified. Tauck Directors are salaried employees present 24 hours a day for the full tour, providing all historical and cultural context personally without local guide handoffs. The consistent presence of a single Tauck Director creates a different quality of guest relationship.
Is Globus or Tauck better for Africa safari?
Tauck. 25 years of Africa experience, fully inclusive from US gateway including all internal African flights, private lodges, all game drives, meals, and gratuities. Globus offers strong Africa SGD tours but Tauck's all-inclusive exclusive lodge access is the higher-end program.
Can I book both Globus and Tauck through the same advisor?
Yes. Danny Stahl is certified in both and provides an honest unbiased comparison based on your specific travel history, destination, and budget.
